Crane Kalman Brighton is pleased to announce that we will be participating at Photo London 2024.
The gallery will be on Stand G9 in the Courtyard Pavilion, Somerset House, London WC2. The fair runs from 16th – 19th May.
We will be showcasing new work by gallery artists Tria Giovan and Andy Lo Pò alongside artworks by Ellie Davies and Karine Laval.

Rencontres
Opening July 3rd, the 2023 edition of the Rencontres d’Arles photography festival will explore a unique ecosystem: its own territory of Arles. An international roster of photographers has descended on the region, each spotlighting the space between earth and water. From the Camargue and Marseilles to Iran and America, photographers offer an uncommon and highly personal view of the meaning of territory. The Rencontres d’Arles runs from July 3rd to September 24th in Arles.
Prix Pictet
The 2023 shortlist nominations for the Prix Pictet photography award will be presented next week, in the opening week of the Rencontres d’Arles photography festival. Drawing global attention to the issues of sustainability, each cycle of the Prix Pictet has addressed a facet of this important concern. For the 10th cycle of the award, the theme will be Human, with the winning laureate due to be announced at the opening of the award exhibition at the V&A Museum in London this September.
Upcoming Exhibition – Into the Woods by Ellie Davies
We will be hosting an exhibition of Ellie Davies new series Chalk Streams to coincide with the release of a monograph looking back over 10 years of Ellie’s work at the Crane Kalman Gallery in London. Entitled Into The Woods, the exhibition will run from 27th July – 18th August and will feature works from many of Ellie’s previous series as well as this new body of work. New Photographer!
The gallery are delighted to welcome Jaume Llorens Bach to the roster.
Jaume Llorens fell in love with photography during his teenage years having attended a course whilst at high school. Jaume set up a small laboratory in his home where he developed his own black and white prints mostly photographing the inspirational beauty of the natural world around his local lake Banyoles.

Two great inaugural exhibitions at the newly opened Centre for British Photography are ‘Headstrong: Women and Empowerment’ curated by Fast Forward which looks at how self-portraiture has been a tool of empowerment for woman artists focused on the work of a group of contemporary photographers based in Britain, and ‘The English at Home’ 20th Century Photographs from the Hyman Collection, which explores the central place of the home in British photography over the last century with works from Bill Brandt to Richard Billingham. Charity Print Offer

Phillips New York Sets More Auction Records –
The photography market is bouncing back and nowhere is it stronger than in contemporary and 20th century imagery. Phillips recent Photographs sale in New York showed that the market for photographic prints has massively increased in resilience, particularly after the last 18 months, and continues to prove itself. Affordable Art Fair 2021
This month, Crane Kalman Brighton is thrilled to be returning to the leafy glades of Battersea’s Affordable Art Fair.
